Quick start

One challenge. Three moves. Start where the team is.

This is a flexible starting rhythm, not a rigid script. An experienced team may use one card on its own.

  1. 01

    Name the real challenge

Write the real teaming challenge you are working on and the team goal for today. Invite up to six people to bring their perspectives.

  2. 02

    Anchor and explore

Choose a shared principle, then surface what each person sees. Use a card or prompt because it serves the conversation—not just at random.

  3. 03

    Pause, notice, move

Use Process Check to notice how you are talking. Then choose the card that best supports the team’s next step. You do not need to use every card.

Teaming around real challenges

A team is not formed simply because everyone has arrived.

Team building usually starts with an existing team. Teaming starts with the work: people across boundaries build cooperation while they explore an uncertain, interdependent challenge. TeamWeaver makes selected facilitation practices visible and usable through the Align Map and cards.

Don’t wait to become a team. Become one through the work.

Anchor points

Return to shared principles as the dialogue develops.

Process Check

Pause and notice the task, missing voices and inner talk.

Beyond the Horizon

Capture discoveries, unexplored territory, helpful perspectives and a next starting point.

A suggested dialogue rhythm

Explore. Pause. Weave the next step.

The two-part rhythm is a recommendation and can be adapted. Its value is the deliberate pause between exploring the situation and deciding what conversation comes next.

  1. 01

    Frame the challenge

What real teaming challenge are we working on? What is our teaming goal today?

  2. 02

    Explore the situation

Bring in perspectives, notice patterns and use a relevant card when it helps.

  3. 03

    Process Check

Where are we now? Whose piece is still missing? What am I holding back or rushing to say?

  4. 04

    Choose what comes next

Explore more possibilities, see beneath the surface, converge, or try a micro-action.

  5. 05

    Look beyond the horizon

Record what emerged and where the next exploration may begin.

Where TeamWeaver fits

Use it when the work needs people to learn and move together.

TeamWeaver supports the conditions for useful teaming. It does not promise consensus, replace decision ownership, or resolve every conflict.

A strong fit

  • A cross-functional or cross-disciplinary challenge
  • A new task that requires people to form a way of working
  • An existing team facing unfamiliar work or new dependencies
  • A question that needs inquiry, experimentation and a shared next step

Know the boundary

For severe conflict, sensitive power dynamics, major trust breakdowns or high-risk decisions, a skilled professional facilitator may still be needed.

Why TeamWeaver Exists

Laura Hsu 許逸臻

Laura has devoted years to facilitation, organization development and team co-creation. She also loves to experiment, explore and create. One question keeps returning: could the wisdom that works in professional facilitation find other forms and enter more people’s everyday work?

TeamWeaver grew from that question and from years of practice with real teams.

“To bring truth, goodness, and beauty to the world through love, experimentation, and creation.”

Laura’s personal mission

TeamWeaver grew from this mission through years of practice, observation, testing and creation.
